Job summary

Snohomish County CASA seeks a Coordinator to recruit, train and support CASA volunteers, delivering case management, best-interest advocacy and community outreach.

You will supervise a full caseload, assist in screening applicants, develop training curricula, coordinate CE hours, plan outreach and events, and ensure compliance with policies. The role emphasizes equity, teamwork, and guardian ad litem duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services, marketing, public/community relations, communications, or closely related field.
  • Two years of experience in social work, child welfare, counseling, interviewing, crisis intervention, marketing, development, or communications.
  • Must pass job related tests.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, guidance, and support to a full caseload of CASA volunteers.
  • Participate in interviewing, screening, and monthly training of prospective applicants for the volunteer position.
  • Develop and facilitate continuing education trainings for volunteers and monitor CE hours.
  • Plan, execute and lead community outreach events, recruitment campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and lead seasonal projects and volunteer appreciation events.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with court reports, records management and data entry.
  • Promote equity and inclusion in programming and operations.
  • Serve as guardian ad litem to a full caseload of children in juvenile court and prepare court reports.
  • Coordinate communication between volunteers and professionals and respond to crises.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
