Job summary

IKEA is seeking a part-time Retail Carts Co-worker to enhance the customer shopping experience in a United States store. You will load and unload carts, stock tools, and support returns and Click & Collect, contributing to a welcoming environment and efficient service.

The role pays $19.50 per hour with 12–19 hours per week, requires open availability Monday through Sunday, and offers a full benefits menu for eligible coworkers under a comprehensive package.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and unloading services while keeping the loading area clean.
• Ensure shopping tools (carts, pencils, bags, maps, twine) are stocked and maintained during store hours.
• Fill shopping tools at closing.
• Monitor condition of tools and report IT or safety issues.
• Assist in other customer service areas such as FS H O, Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
• Create a positive customer experience during order handoffs for Click & Collect.

What you\'ll be doing day to day

• As a Retail Carts Co-worker ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers, you will: Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean by clearing away straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
• Ensure that all physical shopping tools, including carts, pencils, yellow bags, maps, and twine, are adequately stocked and maintained throughout the store during business hours.
• Ensure physical shopping tools are filled at closing.
• Monitor the condition of physical and digital shopping tools, report any IT issues, and remove any physical stands or tools that are unsafe.
• Address customer needs, resolve issues independently, escalate matters to a manager when needed.
• Support in other customer service areas such as Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
• When supporting in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), provide customers with a simple and efficient handout experience.
• When supporting in Returns, ensure products and equipment are properly staged.
• When supporting Click & Collect, create a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate order handoff.
