Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Maryland is seeking a part-time Customer Relations associate to assist with loading/unloading duties, maintain shopping tools, and support multiple customer service areas. You will help in Returns & Exchanges, Click & Collect, and FS HO as needed, ensuring a smooth, friendly shopping experience.

The role emphasizes physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs) and outdoor conditions about half the time, with hourly pay of $19.50 and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide loading/unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean.
• Ensure shopping tools are stocked and maintained throughout the store.
• Ensure physical shopping tools are filled at closing.
• Monitor the condition of shopping tools, report IT issues, and remove unsafe stands or tools.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues independently.
• Support in other areas such as FSHO, Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
• When supporting FSHO, provide customers with a simple and efficient handout experience.
• When supporting Returns, ensure products and equipment are properly staged.
• When supporting Click & Collect, create a positive customer experience with accurate order handoff.

What you'll be doing day to day

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean by clearing away straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
• Ensure that all physical shopping tools, including carts, pencils, yellow bags, maps, and twine, are adequately stocked and maintained throughout the store during business hours.
• Ensure physical shopping tools are filled at closing.
• Monitor the condition of physical and digital shopping tools, report any IT issues, and remove any physical stands or tools that are unsafe.
