Job summary

IKEA Hicksville is seeking a friendly part-time Customer Relations Associate to assist with car loading/unloading, stock and tool maintenance, and various customer service tasks. The role includes supporting Exchanges, Returns, and Click & Collect, while ensuring a positive experience for shoppers in a busy store environment.

You will work 12–20 hours weekly, including some evenings and weekends, with an hourly rate of $19.50.

• Physical Demands: Lifting up to 50lbs.
• Outdoor work 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services.
• Ensure all shopping tools are stocked and maintained.
• Fill shopping tools at closing.
• Monitor condition of tools and report IT issues.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues.
• Support in other customer service areas such as Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
• Provide customers with a simple handout experience when supporting in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO).
• Ensure products and equipment are staged properly during Returns.
• Create positive order handoff experiences for Click & Collect.
• Contribute to IKEA culture and diversity.

What you'll be doing day to day

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean by clearing away straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
• Ensure that all physical shopping tools, including carts, pencils, yellow bags, maps, and twine, are adequately stocked and maintained throughout the store during business hours.
• Ensure physical shopping tools are filled at closing.
• Monitor the condition of physical and digital shopping tools, report any IT issues, and remove any physical stands or tools that are unsafe.
• Address customer needs, resolve issues independently, elevate matters to a manager when needed.
• Support in other customer service areas such as Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
• When supporting in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), provide customers with a simple and efficient handout experience.
• When supporting in Returns, ensure products and equipment are properly staged.
• When supporting Click & Collect, create a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate order handoff.

JOB TYPE – Permanent, Part‑time

HOURS – 12‑20 hours per week. Must be able to work some weekdays and weeknights and must have completely open working availability Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 9:30AM to 10:30PM.

The hourly pay rate for this role is $19.50
