IKEA in Costa Mesa, CA is hiring a Retail Carts Co-worker for a part-time role (12-20 hrs/week) with a pay rate of $19.50 per hour. The position supports loading/unloading, cart maintenance, and customer service across multiple areas including Exchanges, Returns, and Click & Collect. Nights and weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean.
• Ensure carts, bags, maps and other shopping tools are stocked and maintained during store hours.
• Fill shopping tools at closing and monitor condition; report IT issues and remove unsafe stands or tools.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues; escalate to a manager when needed.
• Support in other customer service areas such as Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
• Create a positive customer experience during order handoff for Click & Collect and provide a welcoming environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Retail Carts Co-worker ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers, you will:

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean by clearing away straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
• Ensure that all physical shopping tools, including carts, pencils, yellow bags, maps, and twine, are adequately stocked and maintained throughout the store during business hours.
• Ensure physical shopping tools are filled at closing.
• Monitor the condition of physical and digital shopping tools, report any IT issues, and remove any physical stands or tools that are unsafe.
• Address customer needs, resolve issues independently, upgrade matters to a manager when needed.
• Support in other customer service areas such as Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
• When supporting in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), provide customers with a simple and efficient handout experience.
• When supporting in Returns, ensure products and equipment are properly staged.
• When supporting Click & Collect, create a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate order handoff.
