Job summary

Inter IKEA Systems B.V. in Costa Mesa, CA is hiring for a permanent part-time role (12–20 hrs/week) in a retail environment. You will load and unload items, keep the loading zone tidy, and ensure shopping tools are ready for customers and closing shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide loading/unloading services and keep the loading zone clean.
• Stock and maintain shopping tools (carts, maps, bags, twine) during store hours.
• Ensure tools are stocked at closing and maintained.
• Monitor condition of tools and report IT issues; remove unsafe stands or tools.
• Address customer needs and escalate to a manager when needed.
• Support in FS HO, Exchanges & Returns, and Click & Collect as needed.
• For Click & Collect, ensure accurate order handoff and positive customer experience.
• Contribute to a welcoming IKEA culture and inclusive environment.

Job description

What you'll be doing day to day

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean by clearing away straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
• Ensure that all physical shopping tools, including carts, pencils, yellow bags, maps, and twine, are adequately stocked and maintained throughout the store during business hours.
• Ensure physical shopping tools are filled at closing.
• Monitor the condition of physical and digital shopping tools, report any IT issues, and remove any physical stands or tools that are unsafe.
• Address customer needs, resolve issues independently, elevate matters to a manager when needed.
• Support in other customer service areas such as Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
• When supporting in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), provide customers with a simple and efficient handout experience.
• When supporting in Returns, ensure products and equipment are properly staged.
• When supporting Click & Collect, create a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate order handoff.

JOB TYPE: Permanent – Part-Time (limited benefits)

HOURS: 12–20 hrs/week (PT)

PAY RATE: $19.50

SHIFT: Retail Environment; must be able to work nights & weekends.
