Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Dallas, TX is seeking a Packer Feeder to support finishing operations by feeding die-cut blanks into folder gluer machines, packing finished cartons into corrugated cases, and maintaining quality standards throughout each run.

You will work closely with machine operators and the quality team, visually inspecting cartons for defects, verifying counts, and preparing lines for the next production item, while upholding safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand simple instructions.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Willingness to work overtime as required, including peak production periods.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Feed die-cut blanks into folder gluer machines to support safe, efficient, and continuous production.
• Inspect cartons throughout the packing process to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• Verify case counts in partnership with the quality team to ensure order accuracy.
• Participate in line clearance activities after each production item is completed.
• Assist finishing operations in other areas as needed, including quality sorting and flat packing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with plant standards and safety expectations.
• Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or incidents promptly.
