Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Houston, TX is seeking a Die Cutter on 1st shift. You will ensure packaging equipment runs smoothly, monitor feeders, fill hoppers, clear alarms, and keep the area clean.

You will assemble and stack boxes on pallets, stage finished pallets, and support the supervisor with additional tasks as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and prior manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Working with control display panels a plus.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to work unsupervised or in a team environment.
• Must be able to work on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor automated assembly equipment and read/interpret error codes to clear faults.
• Keep material bins full of work in process components.
• Assemble, tape and label boxes; stack on pallets per procedure.
• Stack boxes on pallets and stage finished pallets outside the assembly room area.
• Maintain the assembly room area in sparkling condition; sweep and wipe machines and windows.
