Job summary

Geo Owl is seeking a Maritime Cartographer to support our customer in Springfield, Virginia. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance and 3+ years GEOINT/IMINT with a degree, or 5 years with a high school diploma.

You will work on geospatial analysis, GIS including ArcGIS, create shapefiles and geodatabases, and use NGA data formats. Education: associate or bachelor's preferred. Benefits include health insurance, 401k matching, disability, PTO, and military leave.

Geo Owl is currently looking for a Maritime Cartographer to support our customer in Springfield, Virginia.

To be qualified, you need at least 5 years of relevant experience and meet the requirements listed below.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years with a degree or 5 years with high school of experience in Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) and Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), reflecting a comprehensive understanding and application of geospatial analytical methodologies and practices.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Expertise and experience in geography, cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including skill in ArcGIS applications.
• Experience creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and features.
• Knowledge of geospatial analysis software suites (GIS commercial software packages such as ArcGIS Pro, ERDAS, and SocetSet), including common office software (spreadsheets, word processing) used by NGA.
• Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, and NGA digital data formats.

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required.
