Job summary

Geo Owl is seeking a Maritime Cartographer to support our customer in Springfield, Virginia. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, with at least 5 years of relevant GEOINT/IMINT experience or 3+ years with an Associate/Bachelor's degree.

You will apply geospatial analysis methods and GIS workflows to produce cartographic products and geospatial datasets. Ideal candidates have strong ArcGIS proficiency, experience creating shapefiles and geodatabases, and familiarity with NGA data formats.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years GEOINT/IMINT with a degree or 5 years with a high school diploma.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Expertise in geography, cartography, and GIS including ArcGIS.
• Experience creating shapefiles and geodatabases.
• Knowledge of NGA data formats and geospatial production techniques.

Geo Owl is currently looking for a Maritime Cartographer to support our customer in Springfield, Virginia.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years with a degree or 5 years with high school of experience in Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) and Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), reflecting a comprehensive understanding and application of geospatial analytical methodologies and practices.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Expertise and experience in geography, cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including skill in ArcGIS applications.
• Experience creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and features.
• Knowledge of geospatial analysis software suites (GIS commercial software packages such as ArcGIS Pro, ERDAS, and SocetSet), including common office software (spreadsheets, word processing) used by NGA.
• Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, and NGA digital data formats.

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required.
