Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level Team Member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks associated with our store’s additional services, product handling, and customer service. You’ll support departments and interact with customers to demonstrate above-and-beyond service.

Responsibilities include cart retrieval, trash coordination, snow removal, returns processing, cleaning, and collaboration with service desks and departments. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside store areas.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Assist service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Work with departments across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
