Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a maintenance/janitorial associate to help keep the club clean, safe, and well-organized for members and staff. You will move carts, perform routine cleaning, and support overall club operations with attention to safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes dependable attendance, adherence to club policies, and collaboration with team members to deliver a positive member experience while maintaining high cleanliness standards across indoor and outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• Age requirements vary; may be less than 18 to perform parking lot cart functions; must be over 18 to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and assistance. Maintains high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members.
• Maintains cleanliness of the club, including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor areas.
• Gathers and returns carts/flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Ensures carts are stocked at the club entrance and in working order.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning tasks and reports major repairs to management.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is expected.
