Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a team member to assist with cart duties, housekeeping, and general store support in a fast-paced Midwest environment. Weekly pay and strong benefits support ongoing personal and professional growth.

The role requires weekend availability and shifts between 3PM and 10PM, with responsibilities across parking lot, store interiors, and department collaboration. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service in a large retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized with a keen sense for details.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and inside store.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Work with multiple departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
• This profile may include other duties as assigned.

What You'll be Doing:

• Must be available on weekends.
• Must be available to work between the hours of 3PM-10PM
• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.

This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.
