Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Team Member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across store operations. You will assist customers, handle carts, support department needs, and contribute to a clean and welcoming shopping experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn, with opportunities for growth through Meijer Rewards and development programs.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and teammates.
• Must be organized with attention to detail and able to multitask in a busy store.
• Able to lift and move products and operate basic store equipment safely.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at service desk and throughout the store.
• Retrieve carts from outside and return them to store interior.
• Maintain parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash collection.
• Assist with snow removal and basic store cleaning tasks.
• Support multiple departments including Health and Beauty, Hardlines, Fashion, Pets and more.
