Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to store services, products and customer service. Team members enjoy engaging with customers and delivering above-and-beyond service.

You will be involved in cart retrieval, trash collection, basic cleaning and collaboration with multiple departments to support store operations and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong listening and communication abilities.
• Able to lift and move items and operate basic store equipment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Assist service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking areas.
• Support multiple departments across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
