Job summary

ShopRite of West Nyack is seeking a CSA/Carts Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient service and assist customers with their groceries. You will collect and return carts, greet customers, and keep the front-end area clean and organized.

The role requires standing for long shifts and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This entry-level position offers exposure to store operations and a path to learn merchandising and service priorities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Stand/walk for the full shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Follow attendance policies and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Collect empty carts and return them to proper place.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products per policy.
• Perform duties per QA and safety standards.
• Dress in uniform, wear name badge as required.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Check prices and know item locations.
