Job summary

ShopRite of Port Jefferson Station in NY is hiring a CSA/Carts Clerk to deliver friendly, accurate service at the front of store. You will collect and return carts, assist customers with groceries, and help maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate in English. You must be 18+ and able to work varied shifts, including overtime, while upholding ShopRite service priorities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift up to 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping area.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Collect empty carts and return them to proper places.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products per store policy.
• Perform duties in accordance with ShopRite priorities: Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency.
• Stand at the workstation for the scheduled shift and may exceed 8 hours.
• Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines for Front-End operations.
• Check item prices and locate items in the store.
