Job summary

ShopRite of Pearl River is seeking a CSA/Carts Clerk to deliver a friendly, efficient shopping experience. You will collect and return carts from the parking lot and assist customers with their groceries as needed.

This role requires English communication, stamina to stand for long shifts, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will work with a team, follow safety rules, and maintain punctual attendance to keep the front-end running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine duties.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Adhere to time/attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Collect and return carts from the parking lot.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to policy.
• Follow QA hand washing standards and safety procedures for chemical use.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Know product locations and check prices as needed.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance; work overtime if required.
