Job summary

ShopRite of Norwalk is seeking a CSA/Carts Clerk (Grade A) to deliver a great customer experience, collect/return carts from the parking lot, and assist customers with groceries as needed. The position is on-site at NORWALK, CT.

You must be able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate effectively in English. Essential duties include maintaining a clean store environment, greeting customers, stocking and returning carts, and promoting current promotions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to stand and walk for full shifts.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Friendly, customer-focused demeanor.
• Able to work with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Collect empty carts and return them to proper places.
• Assist customers with groceries as needed.
• Handle damaged items per policy and assist with stock flow.
• Follow safety, QA, and company policies; observe dress code.
• Promote current promotions to customers and know product locations.
• Report equipment issues and participate in training programs.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime.
