Lou Malnati's Pizzeria in Cary, IL is seeking a General Manager to lead the Carry Out operation and drive guest satisfaction. You will oversee staff, scheduling, and daily cash handling while coordinating promotions and catering orders.

Responsibilities

• Shapes the culture of the Carry Out and fosters high employee engagement and guest satisfaction.
• Achieve budgeted financial goals including income, sales, costs, and P&L management.
• Interview, hire, train, and develop Carry Out team members; conduct performance appraisals, discipline, and termination as needed.
• Supervise Carry Out Manager and assume ultimate responsibility in these areas.
• Create positive guest experiences and assist guests as needs arise per company guidelines.
• Develop plans to continually improve guest satisfaction scores.
• Implement and supervise cash handling, balancing, and daily deposits.
• Schedule Carry Out staff cost-effectively.
• Coordinate events, catering drop-offs, and carry out orders; run store promotions.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness per guidelines.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and receiving per guidelines.
• Monitor service and food quality.
• Oversee store repairs and safety concerns.
• Provide timely feedback on service failures or guest concerns.
• Prepare location daily for business needs including kitchen, prep, and cleanliness.
• Lead and attend weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc meetings.
• May delegate responsibilities with DM approval.
• Any other responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities of a General Manager:

• Shapes the culture of the Carry Out and works towards a high level of employee engagement and guest satisfaction.
• Achieve all budgeted financial goals, including income, sales, costs, P&L management, etc.
• Interview, hire, train, and develop Carry Out team members in all aspects of the business. Maintain team member performance appraisal, discipline and termination.
• Supervise Carry Out Manager in all areas and have ultimate responsibility in these areas.
• Work with team members in creating a positive guest experience and assist with guest needs as they arise in accordance with the guidelines set by Malnati Organization.
• Develop plans to continuously improve guest satisfaction score.
• Implement and supervise responsible and ethical cash management for the location including checking out, balancing, and making the daily cash income deposit.
• Schedule Carry Out team members in the most cost-effective manner possible.
• Coordinate special events, drop-off catering and carry out orders. Implements store promotions.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness guidelines for the location per the Malnati Organization.
• Responsible for inventory maintenance, purchasing, and receiving per Malnati Organization.
• Monitor and maintain the high quality of service and food per the Malnati Organization.
• Supervise the repair and maintenance of the store. Report and address safety concerns.
• Provide timely feedback to supervisor regarding service failures or guest concerns.
• Ensure the location is prepared based on daily businesses needs and set up in all areas daily including but not limited to kitchen, food, prep work, and cleanliness.
• Responsible for leading and attending required weekly, monthly and ad-hoc meetings.
• May delegate responsibilities with approval from their District Manager.
• Any other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Ability to freely access all areas of the Carry Out/carry out store including but not limited to kitchen, office, phone area, delivery area and stock area.
• Ability to stand, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb and move about the facility; ability to stand approximately 90% of workday; manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift, move or handle goods throughout the location generally weighing 0-80 pounds.

Education and/or Training:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Three to five years of Restaurant experience strongly preferred, but not mandatory
• Required to read and write English, follow, and assign verbal and written instructions and use math.
• Must have thorough knowledge of Company products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Training in all aspects of the Carry Out including taking orders, prep work, steam and pizza.
• Have a general knowledge oflabor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, safety and security systems and procedures, and computer operations.
