Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, USA, is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative, Road US (7 on/7 off, Tue-Mon, 4:00 PM - 5:00 AM). The role focuses on sourcing, securing, and managing carrier capacity to support DSV’s freight operations.

The position involves daily carrier engagement, load coordination, rate negotiation, and proactive shipment tracking from pickup through final delivery, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction. Schedule is 7 days on/off with night hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ year in logistics, freight brokerage, or customer service (3+ years preferred).
• 1+ year carrier sales experience focused on drayage (3+ years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure carriers for freight.
• Manage daily dispatch operations with accurate shipment details.
• Track shipments from pickup to delivery with timely updates.
• Verify carrier documentation for on-time closeout and billing.
• Build and maintain carrier relationships to strengthen capacity.
• Collaborate with Account Managers for pricing input and updates.
• Assist with customer service and account management.
• Stay informed on market conditions and rate trends.
• Generate new carrier leads and onboard partners.
• Resolve shipment issues with sound judgment.
