Job summary

INSURICA Corporate in Oklahoma City seeks a Carrier Payables Specialist to manage the full cycle of insurance premium payables, including timely payments and GL reconciliation across multiple carriers. Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience in agency accounting with AR/AP knowledge preferred
• High School diploma required
• College-level accounting courses or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Reconcile carrier statements and invoices against EPIC invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations
• Research and resolve discrepancies such as missing statements, payment variances, billing discrepancies and unapplied cash with brokers, carriers and Account Managers
• Develop and maintain knowledge on assigned carriers for effective process execution
• Verify client billing and collection has occurred, and/or escape for advance payment consideration
• Process payments using multiple bank accounts depending on the entity
• Independently create adjusting entries during reconciliation
• Process payments to finance companies as needed for financed policies
• Handle returned premiums and determine timing for refunds to customers vs. premium finance companies
• Contribute to risk management by reconciling GL liabilities across carriers
• Build relationships with carrier contacts for issue resolution and collaboration
• Support team members as needed and mentor newer staff to strengthen the team
• Promote AI/Technology usage to improve efficiency
• Adhere to company policies and maintain confidentiality
• Participate in training to enhance knowledge and skills
