Now Hiring: Carrier Operations Representative

We're looking for a Carrier Operations Representative to join our procurement team on a dedicated Friday-Monday schedule (7am-6pm, 40 hours/week). You'll negotiate and secure optimal carrier capacity at competitive rates, keeping our customer freight moving on time and damage-free. This role requires sharp decision-making, solid judgment, and a commitment to getting the details right.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Carrier Procurement and Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive carrier rates and secure reliable capacity from the carrier market to ensure coverage for current and future assigned transactional and short lead-time loads. Develop relationships with carriers to optimize pricing and service delivery.
• System Utilization and Value Optimization: Perform carrier outreach via phone and email using load boards, carrier analytics, business intelligence, and digital freight matching tools. Create truck offers through the Transportation Management System (TMS) that meet or exceed company per-load cost targets while maintaining superior service to shippers.
• Problem Resolution: Resolve freight and logistics issues by thinking critically, applying organizational processes and technology, and determining the best course of action to escape.???
