Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Carrier Onboarding Representative to drive onboarding and market external capacity with carriers. You will manage screening, qualification, and contracting processes while promoting the company’s diversified model to potential partners.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in sales or recruiting, knowledge of the transportation sector, and strong communication skills to build a robust carrier network. This is a full-time on-site role based in Lowell, Arkansas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of professional experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Marketing or Communication with 1–2 years in direct sales.
• Experience in sales, recruiting, and the transportation industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering necessary items from carrier to expedite onboarding.
• Track leads for new carriers to develop external capacity growth.
• Meet or exceed goals for outbound calls, financial returns, and capacity growth.
• Explain the onboarding process and maintain activity in the qualification database.
• Evaluate carriers for minimum contracting conditions including insurance and safety requirements.
• Create and deliver marketing materials to demonstrate the value of partnering with J.B. Hunt.
• Build relationships via cold-calling, email, and online databases to develop a carrier pipeline.

Responsible for ensuring prospective carriers meet minimum contracting conditions including safety and insurance requirements of J.B. Hunt and the DOT. Hunt and the DOT through a prescribed qualification process utilizing carrier management tools such as Safersys and internal partners such as Corporate Safety• Create and deliver marketing materials and sales presentations to communicate and demonstrate the value and benefits of our diversified business model for carriers to partner with the J.B. Hunt network in order to increase carrier base• Build relationships via cold-calling, email, and online databases with potential carriers by explaining the value of carrying with J.B. Hunt in order to create and maintain a pipeline of contacts.
