J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Carrier Onboarding Representative to partner with external carriers.

You will screen, market, source, and qualify carriers to ensure compliance with safety and DOT requirements while maintaining strong carrier relationships. Responsibilities include gathering onboarding items, tracking leads, meeting outbound goals, and delivering marketing materials to communicate the value of partnering with the J.B. Hunt network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of professional experience.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Marketing or Communications.
• Experience in sales, recruiting or transportation industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering items from carrier to expedite onboarding.
• Track leads for new carriers and develop a pipeline for capacity growth.
• Meet or exceed outbound call and capacity growth goals.
• Explain the process to become an approved carrier and maintain status in the database.
• Evaluate whether prospective carriers meet insurance and safety requirements through a qualification process.

Job Summary: Under routine supervision, the position is responsible for working with external third parties to market, source, solicit, and screen potential independent carriers. Responsible for ensuring prospective carriers meet minimum contracting conditions including safety and insurance requirements of J.B. Hunt and the DOT. The incumbent must focus also on maintaining successful carrier relationships.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with gathering necessary items from carrier to expedite the onboarding process


• Track leads for new carriers that could develop into a working relationship to drive external capacity growth


• Meet or exceed departmental goals for outbound calls, financial returns, and/or capacity growth


• Explain the process to be an approved carrier and maintain status of activity in the qualification process within the company's outsource capacity database


• Evaluate and determine whether prospective carriers meet minimum contracting conditions including insurance and safety requirements of J.B. Hunt and the DOT through a prescribed qualification process utilizing carrier management tools such as Safersys and internal partners such as Corporate Safety


• Create and deliver marketing materials and sales presentations to communicate and demonstrate the value and benefits of our diversified business model for carriers to partner with the J.B. Hunt network in order to increase carrier base


• Build relationships via cold-calling, email, and online databases with potential carriers by explaining the value of carrying with J.B. Hunt in order to create and maintain a pipeline of contacts. Focus is on developing relationships with big carriers by physical cold-calling and relationship negotiation

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 1-2 years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Marketing or Communication with 1-2 years of direct sales experience Experience in a sales position Experience in recruiting Experience in the transportation industry Knowledge of J.B. Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
