Job summary

North Bennet Street School in Boston seeks an experienced Carpentry Instructor to work with the Department Head in the Carpentry program. The position begins August 2026 and focuses on delivering approved curricula to adult students with varied learning styles.

The instructor will teach through lectures, demonstrations, site projects, and workshops, assist with department administration, manage safety, and help evaluate student progress; Massachusetts CSL or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Five years of carpentry experience.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the approved Carpentry curriculum to adult students.
• Assist with department administration and scheduling.
• Evaluate student performance and track attendance.
• Prepare and present instructional content using department materials and new material.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and coordinate with clients for site work.
