St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, SD seeks a Carpenter Supervisor to lead carpentry crews, oversee project planning, construction, installation and repair of facilities and fixtures, and set priorities for work orders.

You will review blueprints, manage materials, supervise daily tasks, ensure safety and code compliance, report progress to the Facilities Manager, and manage tool and budget needs.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Carpentry and supervisory experience required
• Valid SD Driver’s License

Mansioni

• Determine priorities of projects and work orders and report status to Facilities Manager.
• Examine blueprints and building plans to plan layout and materials.
• Lay out floor plans and carpentry work with standard tools.
• Select and purchase materials; inspect for quality.
• Ensure conformance with codes and ordinances.
• Determine sequence of activities for fabrication, assembly, and erection.
• Provide progress reports and submit budget requests.
• Determine tools needed and inspect them for safe operation.
• Inspect work for specification conformance.
• Oversee and train carpenters.
• Comply with safety and health requirements.
• Perform other responsibilities as required.
