Job summary

Henry County Schools is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Operations division. The role reports to the Maintenance Foreman and follows the M1–M4 salary schedule.

Key duties include performing trades work (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry), preventative maintenance, materials planning, and CMMS-based cost tracking. On-call availability 24/7 and strict safety/ethics standards apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid State of Georgia driver’s license.
• Knowledge of trades systems, ability to use power tools and hand tools safely.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and diagrams.
• Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties for a division of the Maintenance Department in one of theTrades: Horticulture, Site Maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Preventative Maintenance, or Carpentry.
• Perform preventative maintenance as necessary.
• Plan, lay out, and order materials as necessary for maintenance projects.
• Document time, materials, and equipment job cost accounting of work performed utilizing CMMS.
• Work with other trades to complete assignments; may work outside of specific trade when needed.
