Job summary

Henry County Schools seeks a Maintenance Technician - Carpentry to support the Operations division. You will perform maintenance in carpentry or other trades, interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams, and coordinate materials and CMMS documentation.

The role is on-site, requires on-call availability 24/7, and adherence to safety procedures. A high school diploma or HSE and a valid Georgia driver's license are required, with a focus on reliability and integrity.

Qualifications

High school diploma or HSE required.
Valid State of Georgia driver’s license.
Knowledge of trades systems and ability to use power/hand tools safely.
Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and diagrams.
Integrity, confidentiality, and strong professional reputation.
Willingness to adhere to the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
Reliability and punctuality at work.
Willingness to be on call 24/7, 365 days a year.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
Awareness of noise level in a maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance in one of the listed trades (Horticulture, Site Maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Preventative Maintenance, or Carpentry).
Perform preventative maintenance as necessary.
Plan, lay out, and order materials for maintenance projects.
Document time, materials, and equipment costs using CMMS.
Collaborate with other trades to complete assignments; may work outside of specific trade when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
