Remedy Intelligent Staffing is seeking a dependable Building Maintenance Technician with carpentry experience to assist with the maintenance, repair, and improvement of city-owned properties and municipal buildings in Pineville, LA. This contract-to-hire position offers hands-on work, quality craftsmanship, and the potential for permanent city employment.

The role requires safe operation of hand and power tools, ability to read work orders, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in carpentry, construction, or related field preferred.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of general building repair and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry repairs and maintenance on city buildings and facilities.
• Repair doors, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and trim.
• Install and replace fixtures, hardware, and building materials.
• Assist with remodeling, renovation, and improvement projects; conduct routine inspections.
• Operate hand and power tools safely; maintain tools in good condition.
• Follow safety procedures and city regulations; maintain clean work areas.
