Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks a full-time Carpenter–Structural Trades Tech II to join the Facilities team. Focus areas include carpentry, roofing, painting, masonry, flooring, and general building maintenance.

The schedule is 1:00 pm–9:30 pm, onsite, with shift differential; bargaining unit with Local OPS-464. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years in commercial/residential carpentry and facilities maintenance (or 2 years trade school + 3

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 5 years of commercial and residential carpentry and facilities maintenance experience, or 2 years of trade school with 3 years' experience.
Valid PA Driver's License; CDL Class B preferred.
Experience with masonry structures and fencing is a plus.
Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and order supplies.
Experience with renovations/remodeling in commercial and residential spaces.
Strong organization and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, maintain, and inspect carpentry items such as doors, windows, ceilings, and countertops.
Design and build cabinetry and casework; perform general facility maintenance.
Maintain safe, functional spaces for students and staff; engage with students.
