Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is seeking a facilities technician responsible for maintaining and updating hospital facilities. You will perform renovations, hardware installations, door work, wall decor, and floor repairs in coordination with project plans and applicable codes.

Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience and a high school diploma; vocational/technical training is preferred. TMH is an equal opportunity employer with a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facilities in a presentable state of repair and appearance per prints and codes.
• Perform renovations and new construction according to plans and codes.
• Install and service hardware; remodel/renovate as required.
• Install doors, adjust openings, and route hinge replacements.
• Hang wall decor and install safety rails.
• Oversee floors: carpet, baseboard, and tile repairs/replacements.
• Report to Exec Director/Facilities; supervise none.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Job Summary:

Maintain the facilities in a presentable state of repair and appearance; perform renovations and new construction in accordance with prints and applicable codes.

Hardware:

• Adjusts, repairs, replaces, or re-keys hardware as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Remodel/Renovate:

• Lays out job.
• Installs studs after demolition.
• Performs demolition/installation/finish work

Door Installation:

• Installs doors.
• Routes hinge replacement.
• Squares in opening.
• Makes necessary adjustments.

Wall Decorations:

• Hangs bulletin boards, pictures, and objects on walls.
• Installs crash rails.

Floors:

• Replaces/installs carpet.
• Repairs/replaces/installs baseboard.
• Repairs/replaces VA tile.

Exec Director/Facilities

None
