Job summary

DickAndersonConstruction is seeking experienced and motivated Carpenters to join our team in the Flathead area. The Carpenter will independently perform a variety of carpentry and general building construction tasks on residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Responsibilities include layout, framing, installing doors and windows, building forms, and performing finishing work. Competitive pay and a strong benefits package are offered, with relocation assistance possible where applicable.

Qualifications

• Prior construction experience is required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of finishing trim tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic layout for new construction sites and remodels.
• Constructs and sets concrete forms for footings and foundations; assists with pouring when needed.
• Installs and frames floors, walls, doors, windows, and roof structures.
• Performs finishing work including trimming, sanding, staining, and painting.
• Maintains clean and safe worksite and aids in material handling.

TheCarpenterisresponsibleforindependentlyperformingavarietyofcarpentryandgeneralbuildingconstructiontasksatvariousresidential,commercial,and/orindustrialjobsitelocations.ThispositionreportstotheProjectForemanorProjectSuperintendent.

ResponsibilitiesInclude:

• Performsbasiclayoutworkfornewconstructionsitesand/orremodels.
• Constructsandpositionsconcreteformsforfootingsandfoundationsusingpowerandhandtools.Occasionallymayhelppourconcrete.Disassemblesformswhenconcreteisset.
• Installsandsetsfloorjoists,framesfloor,andlaysdownsheetsofplywoodtobuildthesub-floor.
• Buildsexterior/interiorwalls,standswallsup,andbraces/securesthemintoplace.
• Installsprotectivesheetingaroundexteriorwallstosealoutweatherfromthewalls.
• Framesopeningsforwindowsanddoors.
• Hangsexterior/interiordoorsandexteriorwindows.
• Installsrooftrusses,sheetsofplywood,andlaysroofsheeting.
• Performsfinishingwork,includinginstallinginsidetrimpieces,sanding,staining,and/orpainting.
• Loadsandunloadsmaterialsandsuppliesfromtrucks/trailersatjobsites.
• Packsmaterialstospecificareasattheconstructionsiteasneeded.
• Performshousekeepingandkeepsworkareacleanthroughouttheprojectandremovestrashanddebris.Willshovel,sweep,andpickupmaterialsbyhand
• Performsdemolitiondutiesofexistingstructuresasneeded.
