DickAnderson Construction in Jackson, WY is seeking experienced carpenters to join our team. You will independently perform a variety of carpentry and general building tasks at residential, commercial and industrial sites.

This role reports to the project foreman or superintendent and includes layout, framing, setting floors, doors, windows, roofing, finishing, cleanup, and occasional demolition. We offer competitive pay, employer-paid health insurance for employees and families, retirement

Qualifications

• Previous construction experience is required.
• Understanding of finishing work.
• Basic ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of operating finish trim tools.
• Ability to frame walls.
• Ability to manage a crew of 2–3 workers, depending on project requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to job sites.
• Must provide basic hand tools; specialty tools and equipment are provided by the employer.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic layout work for new construction sites and remodels.
• Constructs and positions concrete forms for footings and foundations.
• Installs and frames floors; lays plywood sub-floor.
• Builds exterior/interior walls and studs; braces and secures them.
• Installs protective sheathing around exterior walls.
• Frames openings for windows and doors.
• Hangs exterior/interior doors and windows.
• Installs roof trusses and sheathing.
• Performs finishing work: trim, sanding, staining, painting.
• Loads and unloads materials at jobsites; keeps area clean.

• Constructsandpositionsconcreteformsforfootingsandfoundationsusingpowerandhandtools.Occasionallymayhelppourconcrete.Disassemblesformswhenconcreteisset.
• Installsandsetsfloorjoists,framesfloor,andlaysdownsheetsofplywoodtobuildthesub-floor.
• Buildsexterior/interiorwalls,standswallsup,andbraces/securesthemintoplace.
• Installsprotectivesheetingaroundexteriorwallstosealoutweatherfromthewalls.
• Framesopeningsforwindowsanddoors.
• Hangsexterior/interiordoorsandexteriorwindows.
• Installsrooftrusses,sheetsofplywood,andlaysroofsheeting.
• Performsfinishingwork,includinginstallinginsidetrimpieces,sanding,staining,and/orpainting.
• Loadsandunloadsmaterialsandsuppliesfromtrucks/trailersatjobsites.
• Packsmaterialstospecificareasattheconstructionsiteasneeded.
• Performshousekeepingandkeepsworkareacleanthroughouttheprojectandremovestrashanddebris.Willshovel,sweep,andpickupmaterialsbyhand
• Performsdemolitiondutiesofexistingstructuresasneeded.
