Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs; may work in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires compliance with safety policies; communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Possess a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drainage structures, walls and other structures.
• May assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed).
• Uses carpenter’s belt with hand tools, power tools and other wood-making machinery.
