Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Carpenter I to join our on-site operations team at The Harbours Apartments in Clinton Township, MI. You will help maintain buildings, install woodwork, and support residents with a positive experience.

The position requires basic tools, safety knowledge, customer service, and the ability to work evenings and weekends and travel between locations. Training and growth opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a starting wage of $23.69 per hour are offered.

Qualifications

Must provide basic tools and know how to use them.
Knowledge of maintenance safety guidelines and OSHA regulations preferred.
Must possess customer service and communication skills.
Available to work evenings and weekends and travel to multiple locations.
Ability to use computer for online training purposes.
Have reliable transportation and valid driver\'s license.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining the interior and exterior of buildings, including apartments, mechanical rooms, and common areas.
Constructs wooden structures by observing lines, cutting, assembling, and fastening materials with hand/power tools.
Responsible for set-up and completion activities including material handling and job site clean-up.
Complete repairs on building exteriors at heights of up to 50 feet.
Assist in general framing, finish work, building and repairing stair systems, and more.
Display a positive disposition when interacting with residents, colleagues, and vendors.
