Job summary

Robins & Morton seeks a skilled Carpenter to contribute to healthcare and specialty projects. You will take off quantities, install interior finishes, and perform precise carpentry tasks on safe, well‑built structures.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of carpentry experience, including hanging and taping, with preferred hospital construction exposure and NCCER certification. On-site work and a strong focus on safety are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience, including hanging & taping.
  • Hospital construction experience preferred.
  • 2–5 years installing building specialties, cabinets, windows, countertops, or hardware (DFH).
  • NCCER training/certification preferred.
  • Ability to read construction documents and execute tasks accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Take off material quantities accurately.
  • Build square, level and plumb specified project tasks using basic carpentry tools.
  • Create safety provisions such as scaffolding and fall protection.
  • Install interior finish items: doors, hardware, and fixtures.
  • Safely use various carpentry tools (saws, drills, torches).
  • Identify and request required PPE before starting tasks.
  • Operate basic equipment (forklift, backhoe, skid steer, tractor).
  • Cut and install interior/exterior wood and metal backing as required.
