Job summary

Robins & Morton in Florida is seeking a Carpenter Finisher to join our field team on healthcare construction projects. You will build, repair and finish spaces using hand and power tools, with emphasis on quality, safety and accuracy.

You will work under the direction of a jobsite manager, installing interior finishes and working with cabinets, doors and hardware, while adhering to project schedules and company values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in carpentry.
• Hospital construction experience preferred.
• 2-5 years' experience installing Building Specialties, Cabinets, Windows, Countertops and Commercial Doors, Frames & Hardware.
• NCCER Training/Certified preferred.
• Provide and maintain general hand tools including: belt, hammers, tapes, levels, squares, chalk lines.

Responsibilities

• Build square, level and plumb a specific project task using basic carpentry tools.
• Know how to build safety provisions, including scaffolding, perimeter railings and fall protection.
• Install interior finish items such as wall protection, doors & hardware, and accessories.
• Use different types of carpentry tools safely (saws, drills, torches).
• Identify and request PPE as needed before starting work.
• Operate basic equipment (fork lift, back-hoe, skid steer, tractor).
• Cut and install interior/exterior wood and metal backing as required.
