Job summary

Scull Construction in Rapid City, SD is hiring a carpenter's helper to assist carpenters with building, installing, designing, and repairing structures using wood, plastic, metal, and other materials. The role supports a team on challenging projects across the northern plains.

Pay ranges from $18 to $24 per hour with overtime eligibility. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, paid time off, and development opportunities through apprenticeship programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of carpentry experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and random testing.
• Must have personal transportation to and from job sites, including out-of-town work.
• Must arrive on time to job site and have PPE and necessary tools.

Responsibilities

• Set and strip forms, frame walls, sheet floors and roofs, caulking, tie rebar, and cut lumber to proper lengths.
• Operate equipment such as a gas saw, Bobcat, and forklift.
• Take direction and accomplish duties outlined by your supervisor and ask questions when you do not understand the task.
• Be dependable to your team and work as a team.
• Assist with all tasks; even if it is below your skill level.
