Scull Construction Service, Inc. in Rapid City, SD seeks a Carpenter Helper to assist skilled carpenters with building, installing and repairing structures using wood and other materials on diverse projects. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork.

This position offers weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for apprenticeship and development within a safety‑driven environment. Occasional travel and overtime/weekends may be required, with PTO and health coverage options available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of carpentry experience preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• Must have reliable transportation to job sites, including out-of-town work.
• PPE and tools required; wear PPE per safety guidelines.
• Attend safety meetings and maintain safe job site practices.
• Ability to travel out-of-town and work overtime/weekends.
• Dress appropriately and maintain personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Set and strip forms, frame walls, sheet floors and roofs, caulking, tie rebar, and cut lumber to proper lengths.
• Operate equipment such as a gas saw, Bobcat, and forklift.
• Take direction from supervisor and complete tasks.
• Work as a team and support colleagues.
• Assist with tasks even when below your skill level.
