Turner Industries is seeking a Carpenter Helper for a position in Kingsport, TN. The Helper assists skilled workers across a wide range of duties and reports to the Foreman.

This non-exempt role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and up to six months of experience, with strict adherence to safety policies. Responsibilities include assisting with digs, concrete work, material handling, and basic crane/rigging support as projects progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Approximately six months of experience in the specified skill.
• Able to focus on task at hand without distraction.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and acceptance of policy.
• Comply with safety requirements on job sites.
• Must not pose direct health or safety threats.

Responsibilities

• Read and sign off on JSA before starting shift.
• Digs, spreads and levels dirt and gravel.
• Touch up paint, pour and spread concrete or asphalt.
• Handle building materials and support equipment.
• Move materials and assist with crane setup and rigging as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
