DickAndersonConstruction in Helena, MT is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. You will independently perform a variety of carpentry and general building tasks at residential, commercial, and industrial sites, reporting to the Project Foreman or Superintendent.

Responsibilities include layouts, framing, opening/building wall systems, roof work, and finishing tasks. Must provide basic hand tools; employer supplies specialty tools.

Qualifications

• Previous construction experience required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to frame walls and build interiors/exteriors.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic layout for new sites or remodels.
• Constructs and sets concrete forms and assists with pouring when needed.
• Frames/openings for windows and doors; installs doors and windows.
• Installs roof trusses and plywood; finishes interior surfaces and paintwork.
• Loads/unloads materials and maintains a clean work area.
• Demolishes structures as required.

TheCarpenterisresponsibleforindependentlyperformingavarietyofcarpentryandgeneralbuildingconstructiontasksatvariousresidential,commercial,and/orindustrialjobsitelocations.ThispositionreportstotheProjectForemanorProjectSuperintendent.

ResponsibilitiesInclude:

• Performsbasiclayoutworkfornewconstructionsitesand/orremodels.
• Constructsandpositionsconcreteformsforfootingsandfoundationsusingpowerandhandtools.Occasionallymayhelppourconcrete.Disassemblesformswhenconcreteisset.
• Installsandsetsfloorjoists,framesfloor,andlaysdownsheetsofplywoodtobuildthesub-floor.
• Buildsexterior/interiorwalls,standswallsup,andbraces/securesthemintoplace.
• Installsprotectivesheetingaroundexteriorwallstosealoutweatherfromthewalls.
• Framesopeningsforwindowsanddoors.
• Hangsexterior/interiordoorsandexteriorwindows.
• Installsrooftrusses,sheetsofplywood,andlaysroofsheeting.
• Performsfinishingwork,includinginstallinginsidetrimpieces,sanding,staining,and/orpainting.
• Loadsandunloadsmaterialsandsuppliesfromtrucks/trailersatjobsites.
• Packsmaterialstospecificareasattheconstructionsiteasneeded.
• Performshousekeepingandkeepsworkareacleanthroughouttheprojectandremovestrashanddebris.Willshovel,sweep,andpickupmaterialsbyhand
• Performsdemolitiondutiesofexistingstructuresasneeded.
