Base pay range
$19.00/hr - $23.00/hr

We are currently accepting applications for a Carpenter/Handyman. Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems, and basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
This is a Safety Sensitive position. Must have an acceptable MVR.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door/wall repair, & masonry repairs.
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage issues.
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs and upgrades.
- Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
- Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly.
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs & changing air filters.
Position Requirements
- Ability to perform strenuous tasks with your hands.
- Experience using hand tools and electrical tools.
- Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials.
- Ability to measure accurately and read specifications.
- Plumbing, carpentry or electrical certifications preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Redstone Construction Group standards & processes.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area.
- PPE must comply with site specific requirements.
- Occasional lifting may be required up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping.
- Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
- The work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that are typically associated with a construction project.
- Employees regularly work near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.

Compensation
- Starting at $19 - $23 per hour, DOE.
