Job summary

MasTec Civil, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Carpenter Foreman in Nashville, TN to lead site operations, drive daily production, and uphold safety and quality on complex transportation projects. You will supervise crews, manage costs, schedules, and documentation while ensuring compliance with DOT specs and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and plans.
• Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
• Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
• Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
• Familiarity with DOT specs and requirements (Roadway and MOT operations).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans; adjust for weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.
• Sustain daily safety meetings with crew at the start of each activity.
• Explain construction means and methods to crew members as needed.
• Delegate responsibilities to crew members and contractors.
• Provide resources and staffing to meet schedules, laws, and safety needs.
• Promote safe use of tools and equipment; train on safety gear and procedures.
• Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
• Regularly report project status to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and good housekeeping.
