Job summary

Turner Construction Co. in Memphis, TN is seeking a seasoned Foreman to lead rough carpentry crews on a building construction project.

You will supervise craftsmen, subcontractors, and vendors, manage schedules, and ensure safety and quality while adhering to budget and project requirements. The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of experience, OSHA 30 certification, and the ability to read plans, coordinate with teams, and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of construction experience with at least 1 year in foreman/supervisor role.
• Active OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to pursue certification.
• Ability to lead, delegate and motivate teams on site.
• Strong planning and analysis skills for scheduling and execution.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, specs and schedules.
• Clear verbal and written communication with all levels of teams and partners.
• Valid CDL and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise rough carpenters and laborers on construction tasks.
• Coordinate schedules, deliverables, and safety/compliance on site.
• Review contracts and drawings to plan carpentry work and sequence tasks.
• Direct teams to install rough carpentry items and build as required.
• Collaborate with EH&S and Quality teams for site safety and quality.
• Walk with inspectors, address NCRs, and document corrections.
• Prepare daily reports, time sheets, and other project documentation.
