Job description

Job Title: Carpenter

Pay: $25-30/hr depending on experience

Location: Denver metro area (South Denver, Thornton, Aurora)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays (40-50 hrs/week), 6-7 AM start time

Responsibilities:

As a Carpenter working for our general contractor on new build commercial projects, you will be responsible for various tasks to ensure successful project completion. Your key duties will include:

• Framing and Rough Carpentry: Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes, by measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials.
• Safety Carpentry: Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations, including installing safety barriers and performing safety-related tasks.
• Site Maintenance: Assist with site upkeep such as trash pickup, sweeping, organizing materials, weatherproofing, and erosion control.
• Interior Carpentry: Install cabinets, lockers, shelving, drywall, doors, windows, and hardware; perform drywall repair, painting, and re-caulking.
• Punch List Items: Complete final touch-ups and repairs, including drywall, painting, re-caulking, and hardware installation.
• Operating Equipment: Safely operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, interior designers, and other construction professionals to meet project specifications.

Qualifications:

• At least 1+ years of commercial construction experience as an all-phase carpenter.
• Proficiency in framing, drywall, steel framing, carpentry, and installation.
• Experience in interior carpentry and commercial construction.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in construction environments.
• Own tools required.

Work Environment

Work on commercial construction sites, including projects for schools, multifamily housing, and assisted living facilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
