Job summary

Austin Industrial, Inc. seeks an experienced Carpenter/Fireproofing professional in Houston, TX. Must have fireproofing experience and be able to operate a JLG. NCCER Carpenter certification, TWIC card, and a valid driver's license are required.

The role includes reading blueprints, fabricating and installing structural components, and ensuring safety on site. This maintenance position involves 4 ten-hour shifts with occasional overtime and no per diem.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.
• NCCER Carpenter certification is required.
• TWIC Card and a Valid Driver's License are required.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications in blueprints or building plans to prepare layout and determine dimensions and materials.
• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures using carpenter tools and equipment.
• Install fireproofing materials and ensure correct application and installation of fireproofing systems.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Operate a forklift when required and coordinate with other trades.
