Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Carpenter to perform construction and repair of wood and wallboard fixtures according to local codes and general construction principals. You will work on decks, stairs, roofs, and other temporary structures while studying blueprints to determine materials and measurements.

The role requires at least two years of carpentry experience, a high school diploma or GED, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of carpentry experience.
• Trade or technical school certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans in English.
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up trailers and study blueprints to determine material needs.
• Build decks, stairs, roofs and other temporary structures.
• Assist journeyman and foreman with grades and elevations.
• Unload and stock materials; assemble forms and rough carpentry.
• Maintain site safety and adhere to project plans.
