Mortenson is seeking a Carpenter responsible for constructing and repairing wood and wallboard fixtures in alignment with local codes and general construction principles. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring materials, and collaborating with journeymen to ensure accurate builds.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and precision with opportunities to work on varied projects across Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years carpentry experience.
• Trade or technical school certification/diploma preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, speak and understand English.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up trailers and staging areas.
• Study blueprints to determine material requirements and measurements.
• Build decks, stairs, roofs, and temporary structures; install shelves and prepare sites.
• Assist journeyman with grades and elevations.
• Unload, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials.
• Perform concrete and rough carpentry tasks (walls, footings, drywall, doors, millwork).
• Represent Mortenson professionally with diverse teams.
