Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a skilled Carpenter to support construction and remodeling across facilities. You will construct, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures, and work from blueprints and sketches to ensure compliant installations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and trade/vocational training (preferred). A valid driver's license may be required, and the role includes day shifts with a 40-hour work week and a salary range reflecting experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Trade or Vocational School preferred.
• When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with all tools associated with the trade.
• Capable of working from blueprints and sketches.
• Knowledge of codes, cost estimates, and ability to interpret specifications helpful.
• Capable of accurate written and oral communication involving procedures, situations, and equipment.
• Constructs, erects, installs, and repair structures and fixtures.
• Assists with flooring, ceiling installation and systems, cabinets and millwork, wall protection, doors and hardware, wall covering removal, wall and floor expansion joints, marker boards, tack boards, modular furniture, clocks, and interior signage.
• May also install cabinets, siding, drywall and batt or roll insulation.
• Thorough knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools.
• Take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and specifically, keep tools out of reach of children.
• Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.
